Former Melbourne and Collingwood star Shane Woewodin has joined North Fremantle as head coach of their league side for season 2017.
The 2000 Brownlow Medallist played a total of 200 AFL games for Melbourne and Collingwood before finishing in the AFL at the end of 2005.
He went on to play a further two seasons with East Fremantle in the WAFL before coaching the side in 2008.
In 2010 Woewodin returned to the AFL as a midfield coach for the Brisbane Lions.
Woewodin replaces 2016 coach Marcus Ayres who led the team for one year finishing with 9 wins and 9 losses for the season.
