Mt Lawley Amateur Football Club players Harry Lill and Sam Love along with friends Oscar Wharton and Naish Wallace have set themselves a task all for a good cause.

The four boys will ride from Perth to Melbourne in support of Beyond Blue, a charity which helps to improve the lives of people affected by depression, anxiety and suicide.

Setting off from Domain Stadium in Perth on November 20, the ride across the Nullarbor, expected to take 15 days will end at the MCG in Melbourne.

While Harry and Sam are familiar with competing on the football field, the boys have admitted that they are by no means cyclists and therefore the journey will be a huge experience for all involved.

Mt Lawley as well as many other WAAFL clubs have been rocked by mental health over the past few years.

The ride aims to not only raise money for Beyond Blue but to also break down the stigma of mental health by starting the conversation.

The boys will be launching their campaign this Saturday at Hamer Park, Mt Lawley.
